John & Mary are my Great-Great-Grandparents. Family members have been found on the 1851 census, and the 1891 census. Here Morgan appears, who is also on the 1891 census. Where was John by 1891? It is very likely that John and his son were working here, the Tredegar Iron and Coal Company....

Evan GWENLLAN M 27 M Tredegar Head Coal Miner
Sarah GWENLLAN M 24 F Tredegar Wife Dressmaker
Margareta GWENLLAN 2 F Tredegar Daur
Margaret GETTINS W 48 F Tredegar M-in-law Dressmaker

Evan is my 1st cousin 3x removed. Note the change in spelling of the surname, all dependant on where the family was registered - Brecon registrars tended to put a 'D' on the end, Monmouth ones didn't, and sometimes the 'LL' appeared as here! Evan also appears on the 1891 census, there with his Nephew Thomas living with him. Thomas is shown on the next page.
