Some more pictures of the Lovett family.....

Ann's father, Norman, has a Brother Barry. The last time they were in contact was 1961... However, due to the internet, contact has been restored in 2006! Here is a brief history of the immediate family:

Norman was born on 10 October 1936. Barry was born on 15 November 1938 at 8 Crestfield Road, Meir. Norman Joseph (their Father) left home in 1945/46, going to Blaenau Ffestiniog, possibly suffering from Stress after the war. He became father to a daughter, Norma. Thanks to the help of several people in North Wales via the internet, Norma has been in touch with us! Here are some pictures of her family...

Elsy, Norman & Barry moved to Alberta Street 1946. Elsy was working at the Melba China Co. as a Lithographer - they closed in 1951. Possibly she couldn't manage two children with no work, because Barry went to Sam Bryan's in 1951, and was adopted by him. Sam Bryan went to school with Elsy, and met Barry at Longton Park when Barry was playing football there.

Elsy then lived with Joseph Plant, who worked at the Coalport China Co. with Norman. Joseph (called "Pop") was a "Sagga Maker" - Norman was his "Bottom Knocker" (For information on what he did, click here). Elsy changed her name to Plant. They moved to Eccleshall, where Pop was Head Gardener, and Norman was trained by him. Pop possibly worked previously at the Florence Colliery - they started up the St. John's Ambulance at some point and Pop was a sergeant or something similar.

Barry (Now Barry Bryan) married Irene on 16 August 1958. Norman married Pearl on 17 October 1959 in Folkestone. Norman joined the R.A.F., leaving in 1964, becoming Head Gardener at Milton Manor, Oxfordshire. Elsy died in 1961 aged 53. Norman Joseph died in Blaenau Ffestiniog in 1962 aged 52, by a fall from a height - his death certificate is here.
